Submissions of the 11th and 12th Calls

The last two SystemsX.ch calls for proposals have attracted much interest. Within the 11th call, a total of 58 proposals for Transition Postdoc Fellowships (TPdF) and Interdisciplinary PhD Projects (IPhD) were submitted. SystemsX.ch also received 51 proposals for Special Opportunities Projects in response to the 12th call for proposals. Each of the 15 SystemsX.ch partner institutions is represented in the project proposals of the final two SystemsX.ch calls, as main or co-applicants.

SystemsX.ch/SIB Joint Autumn School 2015

The SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics and SystemsX.ch are jointly organizing an autumn school to educate young researchers in cutting-edge methodologies relevant to systems biology and bioinformatics. The course will take place in Schwarzenberg, Switzerland, from November 8-12, 2015. This course is aimed at PhD students and postdocs working in systems biology, bioinformatics, medicine and biochemistry.

SystemsX.ch Retreat 2015: Better Results Through Diversity

“The SystemsX.ch retreat is a unique occasion for PhD students and postdocs to strengthen skills that are often neglected in science, but nevertheless essential. It’s also a great opportunity to meet people with similar research interests”, says Arnaud Monnard, University of Basel. He was one of 33 participants at the SystemsX.ch Retreat 2015, which took place at Rigi Kaltbad from March 9-12, 2015.

Free Entries for the SBHD 2015 in Heidelberg

SystemsX.ch is sponsoring the International Conference on Systems Biology of Human Disease 2015, which will take place in Heidelberg from July 6 to 8. The Swiss Initiative in Systems Biology is offering ten free entries for PhD students and postdocs within SystemsX.ch projects. If you are interested, please send an email by June 15 to admin(at)systemsx.ch. These free entries will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
